4 Diet tips for successful weight loss.

 
Dieting can be hard enough on its own.  We don’t need to make it harder on ourselves.  Here are 4 tips that will help you ensure successful weight loss:
 

1-Clean out your fridge and your pantry!  The last thing you need is temptation.  After the excitement of the first few days of dieting, you will invariably start craving all the “oh so bad” foods that you are used to having whenever you want.  Eliminate the temptation by getting rid of it all.  This can be difficult, especially if you have kids like I do.  The solution is to stock up on healthy snacks for yourself and for the kids. 

2-Don’t go grocery shopping when you are hungry!  You have heard this before, but it has been shown that people load up on crappy food if they shop when they are hungry.  Make sure you are good and full before you go.  This way you won’t be tempted by Ho-Hos and Cinnamon buns.  Make a list and stick to it!

3-Don’t weigh yourself every day!  This is a difficult temptation to resist, but it is an absolute must.  Stepping on the scale everyday will only do one thing: disappoint you and make you fall off the wagon!  Weight yourself once a week, on the same day each week.  This way you will see noticeable change. 

4-Get help!  Find a support group where you can share your experiences, frustrations and find answers to questions that you may have.  These support groups can be the difference between success and failure. Tell them you r weight loss goals and share your experiences.  This is motivating but it also puts a bit of pressure on you to succeed.  This facet of weight loss and dieting is often overlooked, but its importance cannot be over stated.
